Greetings Fellows! Welcome to our first ever OA Foot Steps Virtual Intergroup Business Meeting Recap!! Thanks to the motion that was approved this month, we now have a mailing list started that members can sign up for to receive this monthly update. We, the board, would also like to take a moment to reflect on our departing Chair’s journey with us in OA Footsteps, and her incredible contributions that she has made in her role to our intergroup! We are so grateful for all your service, and wish you well in your continued journey of recovery, and in service.

Committee Reports
Treasurer’s Report
● $2606.62 came in through Seventh Tradition contributions.
● The Intergroup made contributions to the Virtual Region and World Service Business Office.
● 162 meetings entitles our group to send 11 delegates to WSBC.
● For every user that came in, the average contribution per person was $.14.
● Treasurer’s report was approved with no objections.

Language and Diversity Committee
The Committee Chair asked all Reps to ask at their meetings if anyone is interested in creating meetings in different languages. Also, looking for fellows to join the committee. Contact her at martine@oafootsteps.com. The next meeting is September 25, 10am EST.
Workshop Committee
The Chair announced the Workshop Committee is offering a workshop called “Stepping in Gratitude” to be held Oct 2nd from 3pm to 4:30 EST. Click here for the Flyer! Click here for the EVENT LISTING and all the information you will need to join this Workshop!
Sponsorship Committee
Co-Chair stated there is a workshop called “Our United Growth in Sponsorship” September 25th from 3pm to 4:30pm EST. Read the full report on the Sponsorship Committee Page. For more information about the sponsorship committee, please email: sponsor@oafootsteps.com.
Literature Committee
The literature Committee is looking for service volunteers. As a newly reformed committee they have been settings goals, and hope to provide program literature to members who would otherwise not be able to afford the materials. For more information reach out to literature@oafootsteps.com.
Webteam Committee
The Webmaster position has been filled, and an initial meeting took place to bring her onto the site. A meeting with the webteam is in the works to establish the work flow and to determine who does what. for more information email: webteam@oafootsteps.com.
Bylaws Committee
The acting-Chair of the Bylaws committee stated that the By-Laws, Policies and Procedures manuals have been finished. They are now working on the Standing Rules document. Click here to view the August 2022 Report. For more information email: bylaws@oafootsteps.com

Meetings Committee
The Meetings Committee has noticed that a lot of the contact information we have listed for Meeting Leaders, VIG Reps, & Meeting Contacts is incorrect. Because we are a small team of 4 members, we are reaching out to ask for your assistance. If you are a group service member (leader/host, cohost, meeting representative), please take a few minutes to look at your meeting’s listing on our meetings schedule and OA.org. If you notice the contact information is missing or incorrect, please communicate with your group to obtain the correct information. Please then fill out the form at https://oafootsteps.com/edit-or-delete-a-meeting/. If you have questions or need help, please email us at meetings@oafootsteps.com.
We also have service opportunities for fellows who enjoy visiting different meetings and connecting with your fellows or who like spreadsheets– please email us at meetings@oafootsteps.com for more information. DISCUSSIONS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Trustee Presentation on Service Concept 9
Concept 9 guides us on how to do business. It’s the spiritual connection that connects the servant to the service. Able Trusted Servants, along with sound and appropriate methods of choosing them are indispensable for election at all levels, making sure people are trustworthy that are in service. All Trusted Servants are earning the trust of the people they serve. The number one requirement for service is willingness. It’s important to let people grow into service. It’s also important to take on service that you might not be good at, but that you will grow into and learn.. It’s important to let people grow into service.
Elections
When the current Chair stepped down, according to our Bylaws, the position would automatically fall to the Vice Chair. The Vice Chair declined. The next in line to take over this role is the Secretary. She accepted the nomination. A vote was not needed. However, the VIG members showed a vote of confidence. ♥
New Interim Secretary was elected, and a motion passed to waive the abstinence requirement for the Secretary. The new Interim Secretary will be approved on a month-to-month basis going forward.
Intergroup Inventory Announcement
An upcoming Zoom event will be put on by fellows from the Virtual Region to answer questions and to take the temperature of the entire group. Event will be held October 8th at 10am EST Thru 3pm EST Virtual Region Assembly Announcement Assembly takes place twice a year. We can send up to 17 people.

● Motion to allow up to a $500 budget for the Literature Committee. – Tabled to next month
