Represent your Intergroup at the Virtual Region Assembly
Curious about service beyond the Intergroup level?
OA Foot Steps is looking for members to represent our intergroup at the upcoming assembly on May 30th and 31st, 2026.
Foot Steps is just one of 23 Intergroups that make up the Virtual Region—a truly global community.
The Region plays an important role in the recovery community:
- It hosts a fantastic annual convention that brings people together from all over the world.
- Its multilingual presence helps members feel included no matter where they live.
- The Region leads important efforts in privacy protection, language inclusivity, and equality, making sure everyone has a safe and supportive place to grow.
It’s a wonderful way to explore service on a broader, international level while staying connected to a caring community.
Potential representatives must be present at the May 17th Intergroup business meeting to be voted in.
Requirements to be a Virtual Region Representative are:
- 6 months of abstinence
- having attended the intergroup business meetings twice in the last 6 months.
- must apply at least seven days in advance of the election meeting.
- must specify their preferred Region Committee on their application.
Representatives serve a one-year term and can stand for re-election for another year.
