The Seventh Tradition states: “Every OA group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.” Please contribute what you can, and although we need you more than your money, we do need your financial support for our intergroup’s regular expenses, including Zoom account access, web-hosting, chips, pamphlets & literature, postage.

OA World Service suggests $5 USD per meeting. According to our balanced budget, we send regular contributions to the Virtual Region, the World Service Office {WSO}, and Service boards that are affiliated to OA Foot Steps, to help carry the message to other compulsive overeaters.

Our 7th Tradition pamphlet says that groups “frequently (choose) to send 60 percent to their intergroup/service board, while forwarding 10 percent to the region and 30 percent to the World Service.” Our own Financial policy has always been to give 30% to the Region, and 10% to World Service, although there are options on the floor today that might adjust these figures.

We would like to offer both our individual members and our groups the opportunity to choose how their contributions are distributed before the funds enter into our budget. Listed below are two main options that you will be able to choose from the drop down menu. Please note: These options can be adjust according to the outcome of today’s Intergroup meeting decisions.

  • The first option allows you to send 100% of your contribution to our intergroup. We will disperse funds received as defined by our budget, with any remaining amount, beyond our prudent reserve, being passed along to the Region and World Service Office. or to split your contribution as follows,

  • The second option allows you to distribute your contribution as follows:
    • 55% to be retained by OA Foot Steps
    • 25% sent to the Virtual Region
    • 15% sent to the World Service Office
    • 5% is distributed equally among the service boards in which the intergroup participates
