How do you know when a meeting has no leader? When joining a meeting, a member is typically welcomed. At starting time, someone steps forward and begins the meeting often following a script.

There are occasions when a mix up in scheduling or unexpected occurrence results in a meeting leader not being present. At other times, the meeting members have stopped providing service and there is no one taking responsibility for the meeting. It has effectively closed without telling anyone. We would appreciate it if you would report this meeting to us so we can follow up and see what is happening.

If you want to have an impromptu meeting, it’s perfectly fine to adapt a script you have from another meeting, or use one you can find here.
